King Crimson have confirmed their first live shows with the new line-up.
_________________________________________________________________________________If you're a Progshine reader you might remember that we announced last September that Robert Fripp announced a King Crimson reunion (read it HERE).
The 8th incarnation of King Crimson will be a three drummers one: Gavin Harrison (drums), Bill Rieflin (drums), Pat Mastelotto (drums), Tony Levin (bass), Mel Collins (saxophones), Jakko Jakszyk (vocals and guitars) and Robert Fripp (guitars).
The band started rehearsals last week again and Fripp says: "Reporting good days – personally I had lots fun. Two principles articulated: one, enjoying our playing together is encouraged; two, if you don't wish to play a part, give it to someone else. There's enough of them!"
The first dates are now confirmed. The tour is called The Elements: Past, Present And Future and initially will be only in the USA. Although more dates can be confirmed Robert Fripp already warned last year the band were unlikely to tour "in the conventional sense".
