Thoughts: This turned up one day from a Polish friend of mine, and I know nothing at all about the band as there seems to be very little written about them on the web, and their own site isn't exactly overflowing with information.
But I do know that this is their debut album and that the band was put together by Krzystof Lepiarczyk (keyboards) who is active with different bands such as Loonypark and Metus, and he was joined by Maciej Tomczyk (guitars, bass), Gregory Fieber (drums), Mark Smelkowski (vocals) and Julia Stolpe (backing vocals).
This is a class album, nothing more, nothing less. Musically much of this is based on wonderful piano with some additional keyboards tied in with some great vocals. It feels like A Trick Of The Tail (1976) era Genesis but in reality sounds nothing like it at all.
This is music that I know I can play in the car and even my wife would enjoy it - it is certainly quite different to what I normally expect from Lynx Music who have been making a name for themselves as one of the top Polish prog labels. But while I compare them to Genesis, someone else may say Train, or Coldplay, or none of these.
The one good thing about their website is that it is possible to go there and listen to some of the songs and that I highly recommend. This is music that may not fix into a fashionable musical box, but who cares? This is an album that will enrich all those who care to search it out.
The band was included in our Podcast #32 and you can listen 'I Have Been Blind' HERE.
