The Green Violinist - Debut Album Release
The Green Violinist start their debut album More Thrill & Never Ending Blessings (2013) dreamy, playfully, enchanting... From there, the music proceeds quietly flowing and full of wonderful harmonies. The songs will catch your attention. Vincent Defresne, leader and songwriter of the band, admits he was inspired by the painting by famous artist Marc Chagall 'The Green Violinist'. He managed to capture the spirit of the picture in an incredible way and to transfer it into music. The result is a wonderful collection of Neoprog-songs containing its fair share of acoustic moments (guitar, piano and violins). But the range goes further including electronic, almost trance-like songs that take you into another world.
The songs were mainly recorded at Jedinakow Studios, the band's own private place of creation and Island of Serenity. Tracks were engineered, mixed and mastered by Vincent's longtime friend and bass player Regis Planque. Also, the album came to realization through the collaboration of a huge bunch of gifted musicians, including a real choir of 50 singers directed by Maestro Patrick Jonnieaux.
Says Vincent, “We're just finishing the recording of our second album, which I am very proud of. I love the process leading to the birth of new songs, the way how almost magically the songs are given to you, how they come and how the ideas to improve them come too. The next album should be a great success for me, and I'm not talking about sales or critical acclaim...I mean artistically I succeed to create the soundtrack I wanted for a world that has changed...Critical mass is reached now, nothing can stop the new world to be revealed and I wrote music about it, to help its birth.”

Tracklist:
1. The Great Scapegoat Seeking (6:24)
2. Velvet Road (6:17)
3. Shy People (4:55)
4. Do Worry Be Sad (13:22)
5. Human Connection (4:06)
6. Any Words You Say Won't Be Enough (3:37)
7. Bad Inheritance (a song to cure) (6:33)

Camel - Return To Stages
Camel will return to the stage when they perform classic album The Snow Goose in full at the Barbican Arts Centre, London, on October 28.

Andrew Latimer will be joined by Colin Bass, Denis Clement, Guy LeBlanc and special guest Jan Schelhaas for the show, which marks the first time the band have played since their farewell tour.

Camel last performed their third album at the Royal Albert Hall in 1975, accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra.

A statement explains: “The evening pays tribute to former band member Peter Bardens, who died of cancer at the same time as frontman Latimer was battling a terminal illness.

“Ten years later, Latimer has regained health and is willing to celebrate a career that spans over four decades. This two-set show will also embrace compositions recorded throughout those years in a personal covenant of appreciation for a deeply rewarding life of music.”

A report on the band’s website previously revealed they were considering a tour in 2013, to be entitled Retirement Sucks. There’s also the possibility of a new album, which Latimer and Clement have been working on for some time.

Discussing the mainman’s health, the report explains: “He is very well and enjoys the great fortune of recovered good health. Of course, there are certain trade-offs, but they were well worth it. There really isn’t much more to say about that – it’s never wise to let any illness define a person. And so, that chapter in our lives is firmly closed. Well, for the most part.”

Tickets can be purchased HERE.

Guapo - New Live Dates
Guapo will play their first live show in four years when they perform at their album launch on April 25.

The band will appear to mark the launch of History Of The Visitation (2013) at Corsica Studios in London.
The three-track title is the ninth studio record from the art-rock band, led by founder David J Smith and also featuring Kavus Torabi (Cardiacs, Knifeworld), James Sedwards (Noght) and Emmett Elvin (Chrome Hoof, Knifeworld).
A statement explains: “Prepare yourself for an experience that’s simultaneously otherworldly and assaultive. On paper, the music of Guapo reads like a riddle – the British quartet’s sound is based around ideas like controlled chaos, atonal harmony, uplifting darkness, and beautiful destruction. Nothing about the band or their work seems to adhere to even the most open-minded set of preconceptions about the meaning of umbrella terms like ‘rock,’ or ‘progressive,’ or even ‘experimental.’
History Of The Visitation (2013) finds them following through on the kind of epic constructions that sprung forth from their albums like Five Suns and Black Oni. The record is dominated by the 26-minute tour de force The Pilman Radiant, offset only by the 11-minute journey Tremors from the Future and the considerably more compact sonic sculpture known as Complex #7.”

Guapo will be joined by special guests Stars In Battledress for the concert. Buy tickets HERE.
